Salem Pond - Salem, Utah

Salem Pond is a beautiful family friendly location, as long as you keep an eye on the tots as you are next to open water. My family and I have been there several times so it has become a favorite of ours.
We like to take bread and feed the ducks. There are also seriously huge koi fish. I saw one gold koi and the rest are normal fishy colors but they are close to 2 ½ ft long! We had Little Caesar’s hot n’ ready pizza and since we don’t eat the crust, we can feed it to the birds and fish, it’s very entertaining.

The playground is fun for the kiddos and I even went down the slide a couple of times. There is a nice pathway for strollers and a cute bridge that spans the pond. There are bathrooms and a drinking fountain as well, but there are no grills at the park so heat your food before you come. I would like to get a canoe or paddle boat to go out on the water; it seems like a lot of fun.
Parking was a breeze but I can imagine it being harder in the high season. There are a lot of parking spaces; it’s just a short walk to the park and back. If you’re coming from Provo take I-15 south to the Payson main street exit, turn left on SR-198, turn right on 3rd west and left on 3rd south. You’ll run right into the parking lot. Hope you enjoy this park as much as I do.

That’s what I love about this website…we do so much, yet I had no idea about Bridal Veil Falls. Expertly written, thanks for sharing, and welcome!
Bridal Veil Falls is so amazing. My first experience is in Telluride.
